The community garden is located at the entrance to The Strand near Fischer Pond.

About the Garden

The Cascade Community Garden is an educational garden showing the types of veggies, herbs, spices, and fruits that grow well in the short growing season of our community, hoping to encourage people to plant their own gardens. Different planter styles are represented that will enhance the ease of gardening and esthetics of your yard and garden. Produce from the garden can be harvested to be shared at our Community Garden veggie potlucks. The majority of the produce goes to our local food bank.

Community Garden Potlucks

Join us at Fischer Pond each Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. throughout the summer (June through August) for our educational Community Garden Potlucks. Bring a veggie/fruit dish to share and your recipe, which will be emailed to our interested gardeners. The potlucks are a great opportunity to share gardening ideas, tips, and stories, work in the garden, enjoy great food, and meet fellow gardeners.
